So we've had the great "Values Voters" Summit in DC this week . . . and the Republican presidential candidates have been falling all over themselves to prove they're the ones for social issue conservatives to line up with.  As for me, I'm simply asking, "who made these people the arbiter or what is, or what is not, a value?"  Trust me, this will get lively today.

Today's conversation will be about morality.  Is the Bush Administration right in its defense of harsh interrogation techniques -- torture, to be blunt -- in getting necessary information in the war on terror?  Or has it gone too far, and have we lost our bearings?  And as President Bush vetoed the SCHIP bill (the one that would increase access to health care for poor children), the question becomes:  Do we have the same moral imperative to provide this for our kids as we do for the aged (Medicare?)
