On today's agenda, with Chris and then me with you:
-- It's SuperBowl Sunday, and 2 Black Head Coaches will participate for the first time. Does
this mean the NFL was right some time back to enforce an affirmative action rule, that teams had to interview Blacks before
they hired a head coach?
-- A report out this week said that Black pedestrians are 6 times more likely than Whites
to be stopped in Georgetown, and Blacks and HIspanics are twice as likely to be stopped as Whites in Adams Morgan. In
New York City, a study says Blacks are "frisked" at 5 times the rate of Whites. What does all this tell us?
-- On Iraq, the National Intelligence Estimate is . . . well, bleak. Does anyone really believe
President Bush's policies will make any difference?
-- And just for fun . . . we now hear that global climate change is real, most likely caused by
human activity, and is probably irreversible. Now what?
Join us, please. It will be a lively few hours.
