On The Air!

Join me each Sunday afternoon, 2:00-4:00pm ET, on 630 WMAL - AM, Washington, DC's premier News/Talk Station.  (Streaming audio is available from WMAL's site -- and my show is now available, 4 Sundays at a time, for download and podcasting "On Demand.")

Sunday, February 26, 2006

We'll get a slightly later start this week -- 630 WMAL will be carrying the Maryland Terrapins basketball game, which won't end until sometime around 8:00pm.  Join me then, won't you?

And we'll discuss:  The "deal" on the ports -- are you happy now?  Satisfied?  (I didn't think so.)  And the mess in Iraq -- is it time to admit failure and start talking about coming home?  (William Buckley says yes -- and he's no liberal.)

I'm about to commit political suicide tonight again, on a conservative talk-radio station . . . asking another question you might not like to think about.  But it's necessary . . . .

And since Monday is Presidents Day, we might play around a bit with a story I found from a historical society that ranks the 10 worst mistakes presidents have ever made.  Hmmm . . . .

And then there's Cheney, Chertoff, Schaeffer, Gitmo, and gun rights in Virginia . . . .

Plus much more . . . join me live tonight, won't you?

As we dig out from the snowstorm, we'll get back into the controversy swirling around the cartoons which have so upset Muslims around the world.  I've got a question for you that you might not like . . . but which needs to be answered.

And we'll look into the conflict over the President's claims of powers to spy on Americans (if they're getting overseas calls from Al-Qaeda), and explore just how much autonomy the President OUGHT to have.

Plus much more . . . join me live tonight, won't you?

Welcome, football widows and widowers, on this Super Bowl Sunday.  We've got plenty to talk about for those of you who have no interest in the game . . .

-- Betty Friedan, the author of the 1963 best-seller, "The Feminine Mystique," died yesterday at her Washington, DC home of heart failure, at the age of 85.  Friedan is credited with helping to launch the "2nd Wave" of the Women's Liberation movement.  The question for today:  On balance, was the Women's Movement good or bad for American society?  (There's lots to this, so stay tuned!)

-- On the subject of men and women, we'll note the U.S. Army's new program, "How To Avoid Marrying A Jerk."  (I'm not kidding about this!)

-- Later tonight, time permitting:  The flap over the caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad; Iran & Nuclear Weapons; Senate hearings on the NSA spying controversy; my take on the State of the Union speech -- and last but not least:  Oil Profits!
